In his speech, Winston Churchill, uses a somewhat serious and dedicated tone. He says things such as "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat". This creates some sort of atmosphere that made the people feel his seriousness and understand how dedicated he was to succeeding as the Prime Minister. The way he spoke showed people that him becoming the Prime Minister came with a lot of seriousness and that he was not going to play around with them. He also complimented them on their war with the German in order to show how his new Era is going to be like.
